A Brief Footprints Of Grains

Think it or not, it was the vegetarian move in the last quarter of the 19th century which engendered the first breakfast grains. About that time the original western breakfast was the ever high demand eggs, bacon, sausage and beef. It was in point of fact in 1863 that the 1st packaged cereal was invented. Called Granula, the grain contained big bran nuggets which needed soaking all night before they could be used up. It is unsurprising to find that they never caught on.
